RUN CUSHION INSOLES
Footwear discomfort is one of the most common challenges faced by runners. These insoles are engineered to support a range of arch profiles, reduce fatigue, enhance shock absorption, and improve overall comfort during running. The target demographic included active individuals aged 18–45, from casual runners to experienced athletes seeking greater impact protection and enhanced comfort in their footwear.
During the project scope and requirements, it was noted,
“Products are to function adaptively with the foot”
Adaptive; what does that mean? I was greatly inspired by Chladni plate vibrations, Turing patterns, and organic patterns. With these cushion products, I aimed to blend flowing movements and natural patterns with technical biomechanics.

Color Strategy
When developing the color family for the Run Cushion Series, I drew inspiration from nature—specifically from organisms that thrive in adaptive environments, such as coral reefs, aquatic life, and tropical species. These sources provided a rich palette of vibrant, organic hues that informed the direction of the collection. It was equally important to thoughtfully assign colors to each arch profile, ensuring clarity and ease of identification for the consumer. I was careful to differentiate this new color story from our brand’s established heritage product collection, avoiding any overlap or confusion while still maintaining a cohesive visual language.
An INSOLE FOR EACH ARCH PROFILE
To better accommodate the many types of runners, the Run Cushion Series is offered in a low, medium, and high arch profiles. From low to high arch angulation there is approximately 6mm.
