ADIDAS SAMBA KEYCHAIN
Adidas Samba has been one of my favorite shoes ever since I saw them when I was 12. I was intrigued to build a model of the iconic Adidas shoe, and share it as a memento of my passion for shoes. Throughout the project, I wanted to build a model that allowed for easy modifications, customizations, and assembly. I set out to build the classic, and ended up creating a whole variety of colorways.
DESIGN TO SCALE.
One of the main focus and challenge of this project was designing for print. I was aware from the outset that scaling limitations would make it impossible to create an exact replica of the Adidas Samba, but my goal was to preserve and highlight the elements that make the shoe instantly recognizable and iconic. To streamline the printing process and minimize assembly time, I prioritized a design approach that allowed components to slide or snap into place, reducing the need for adhesives and ensuring a clean, user-friendly build.
The Adidas Samba Keychain measures approximately 74x25x29mm. This includes a 4.5mm diameter hole to accommodate a micro carabiner or a traditional keyring.
